Getting around River Grove
The roads, the rails, the runway.
River Grove is small but well-positioned, with a college, a Metra stop and the river all inside its borders, and that shapes every charter we plan out of it.
The roads. Belmont Avenue and Grand Avenue carry the main traffic east to west, while Thatcher Avenue runs the western edge along the Des Plaines River and Thatcher Woods. Fifth Avenue feeds the Triton College campus, and River Road connects you north toward O'Hare. From any of them you're minutes to I-294 (Tri-State), I-290 (Eisenhower) and the Kennedy.
The rails. The River Grove Metra station on the Milwaukee District West line runs to Union Station downtown. Handy for a solo commute — but for a group with luggage, an early flight, or a night that runs past the last train, a door-to-door coach beats juggling the schedule.
The runway. O'Hare (ORD) is roughly 6 to 7 miles and about 15 minutes northwest via Thatcher and River Road. Midway (MDW) is a straight run down the Eisenhower. Both are core to what we do, with live flight tracking and built-in buffers.
